What a cool piece that you hardly ever see . This is a Revolutionary War Period Flintlock assembly that was dug near General George Washington's winter camps in Valley Forge Pennsylvania along the Schuylkill River. This was found on private property and not on the park. I was told by the digger, that he found it in a creek. I tend to agree as it looks like a water find . It's in solid condition and still has the flint intact. This has been in my personal collection for over 30 years . It's time for someone else to enjoy it .
