Very nice Leech and Rigdon CS 2-piece Buckle. It is listed in as PLATE # 033 in Mullinax's Confederate Buckle Book. This style is known by collectors as the " 08 " pattern, because the CS is almost closed together and resembles an 08 . Also this is the medium loop style , as they were made in small, medium, and tall loops. This one was dug in north Mississippi in a Confederate cavalry camp. This style was extensively used by Confederate Cavalry. Has a very pleasing olive green and chocolate patina.
