Cool and inexpensive Model 1851 Navy 36 caliber Revolver. Has serial number 47430 on it which lets us know through Colt's well kept records, that it was Manufactured in 1856. Has this number on the butt of the grips , forward the triggerguard and the iron frame, and the loading lever. However, the barrel is stamped serial number 172485 , which lets us know the barrel was Manufactured in 1863 . This example has a dark been there look testifying that it had alot of Holster time with some soldier and wear from service. Mechanics are fully functional with good working action. This is a great Colt for someone who wants an original Civil War gun without having to pay for a pristine Colt. With all that said, it is a very nicely displayable gun and an early 1856 date to boot.
