One of a kind bullet and bayonet struck collection, that is possibly a once in a lifetime chance to own . This is a very rare and desirable collection of Struck Civil War Relics. The Eagle Breast Plate and US Buckle were dug in a Civil War Camp at Shiloh on private property. They were used for bayonet practice , as you can see the triangular punctures all over them . The other Eagle Breast Plate, was used for target practice, as it has several large caliber holes in it , from a musket. This was also found in that same camp at Shiloh, many years ago. The remaining relics in the grouping were found by me , at a Confederate camp site in north Mississippi. I will provide the exact dig site to the new owner. I believe that a group of Confederate officers were having a friendly shooting competition in the yard of the plantation home at this camp as that is where all of the rest were found. They were finding all kinds of stuff to shoot at . First, is a penny hit dead center by a 44 caliber pistol ball. I think the guy was cheating, surely, by holding his pistol muzzle up and placing the penny on the muzzle and firing. If he wasn't, he was one BAD DUDE ! Next, we have a round brass object the same size as an eagle breast plate , but with no motif on it . It still has 3 square head finish nails still in it, where it was once nailed to a tree . It has a 44 caliber bullet hole in the center. Next , we have a nondescript piece of very heavy brass that kind of looks like a finial of some sort with a 58 caliber bullet hole in the center. The next piece is a gold plated ornately engraved brass lid that has been hit by a 31 caliber pistol ball. Last but not least, is one of my absolute favorites. It is a pocket watch with two 36 caliber bullet holes neatly placed in it . All of these Relics found in this plantation yard of a Confederate camp were all found in a 30 foot area of each other. The old plantation home was long gone many eons ago, but you could see the old brick foundation piers and the cistern was still there. Here is your chance to own a grouping that you will never see again for sale. Also, it has documented rock solid provenance by me .
