Cool and quite rare Virginia 2-piece Buckle. This is is listed as PLATE #425 in Mullinax's Confederate Buckle Book. This example was dug in a Confederate camp near Richmond Va. When dug, the Tongue portion of the buckle had two bends on the coin disc and was expertly straightened back without breaking. Also the tongue loop was broke at the top and expertly repaired. Please refer to the picture I have included to show exact places. The wreath portion of the buckle is flawless with no repairs. You can see the "VIRGINIA" very clearly at the bottom of the disc and part of the "SIC SEMPER TYRANNIS" at the top. This is your chance to own a real and original Virginia 2-piece Buckle at a fraction of the price for an unrepaired one and displays every bit as nice.
