Cool lead poker chip made from a hammer smashed 58 caliber three ring minie ball. You can still see the 3 rings of the bullet around the perimeter. It is smashed flat as a pancake and actually fairly uniform circle. It's a little bigger than a half dollar and a little over 1/16" thick. I personally dug this in a 7th Iowa Infantry camp at Shiloh on private land many years ago. It's in great dug condition and if you look close on the face, you can see what looks to be Roman numerals scratched in the center as seen in the pictures. It looks to me like the Roman numerals 7 "VII" , which would stand for the 7th Iowa. That's what it looks like to me , but if not that , it's still definitely something there. Cool camp relic.
