Cool soldier's small 31 caliber boot pistol Dug in a Union camp at Columbus, Kentucky. This one has a larger 31 caliber. Has a flutter cylinder and is fully complete with all of its parts except for the wood grips the have rotted away with the ages. Has a brass blade front site .It is in excellent dug condition as you can see in the pictures. The hammer and spur trigger moves freely and the cylinder still spins. The internal mechanics don't work. This would have fired a 31 caliber Rimfire cartridge. This was a late war camp and these Rimfire pistols became popular with Union soldiers late in the war .
