Very Early Type 1 New Orleans Mint 1849o 1 dollar gold coin. This one is in nice circulated condition with great detail on the front obverse and readable date and "O" Mint mark on reverse. I have put this type 1 beside a type 3 to show size comparison of the smaller type 1. It is hard to find the Southern Mint mark gold pieces.
