Gorgeous 1830 Early Silver Half Dollar. This one was dug in a Colonial house site in Virginia. Has a very pretty dark toning to the silver. These early Half Dollars are a good bit larger than the later half dollars. I put an 1861 seated Liberty half dollar beside one of these for size comparison. Has words struck on the rim saying HALF A DOLLAR and FIFTY CENTS , which is very neat. Rare and desirable coin !
