Very nice 1903 UCV Badge. May 19, 1903 New Orleans Confederate Veterans reunion. The front of the disc has 61-65 UCV and New Orleans May 19,1903. The face also has a Confederate battle flag and a Louisiana state seal Pelican flag. The reverse has the Louisiana state seal Pelican feeding her young with a banner above reading the state moto "Justice Union and Confidence" has makers mark of "Schwaab S & S Co. Milwaukee". Condition of the badge is very nice except the cloth ribbon is frayed at the bottom and is no longer attached to the metal disc . I have a couple of pictures that shows a Confederate Veteran from Mississippi, wearing this very badge on his coat . I don't have his name, but I think this badge was his . I just have a copy of the picture as the original has been separated from his badge. Great Confederate Veterans piece.
