Really cool 1864 issued Confederate 10 dollar note Richmond Virginia Marked. Note is in good circulated condition. This note was passed down in my personal family. It is laminated for preservation with an old typed note that reads : " This money was the property of my grandmother Melissa Davis at the end of the Civil War. Her husband John A Davis was killed in the battle of Vicksburg Mississippi, May 19 , 1863. " John A Davis was in the 40th Alabama Infantry, company G , and I have some information on John and Melissa both in the pictures. Melissa Davis was distantly related to my family and it was passed on to me by my dad. Very cool historical artifact that has a picture of the past owner attached to it in the pictures.
