What a cool relic. This is what I believe to be a CS Stamped Bridle Rosette. This is not in any of the books and I have never seen one of these before in almost 40 years of collecting. Nor has anyone else that has seen it. One thing I know is that it is real as a heartattack . The CS was Stamped into it and can be seen very well. It's around 1 1/4" in diameter . I really feel that it is a Rosette but it could have been employed for other uses. Maybe a hat pin ? Who knows, all I know is that it is authentic whatever it's use. Here's your chance to have a genuine CS marked item that none of your friends have . I am pricing this modestly for a marked CS item.
