Very cool regulation Federal leather percussion cap box that came in from a family in the Williamson county Tennessee area. It has a Confederate battle flag carved into the outside flap . The gentleman that it was purchased from said it was handed down through his family. He said he had several family members that fought in the 42nd Tennessee Infantry. Anyway, you can tell that the carving is ancient and was done long ago. Box is in great condition and has a crisp makers mark of BAKER & McKENNEY - NEW YORK . Even has some of the original Percussion Caps still inside the box. A nice example of a captured item used by a Confederate soldier.
